RSMSSB is now RSSB: same board, new name
The board was earlier called the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board, shortened to RSMSSB. It now goes by Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, or RSSB. The work, the office in Jaipur and the type of exams have not changed.
This is why searches like rsmssb official website, rssb website and even misspelt ones like rssmb all point to one place. The current address is rssb.rajasthan.gov.in. Some older pages still open on the rsmssb address, but treat the RSSB site as the main source for new advertisements, the news section (rssb news), admit cards and results.
CET: the first gate for many posts
The Common Eligibility Test, or CET, is a screening exam run by RSSB at two levels: senior secondary (12th) level and graduation level. You do not get a job from CET itself. It gives you a score, and only those who reach the qualifying mark set in the rules can apply when the board advertises a main exam for posts linked to that CET level.
Posts such as patwari, gram vikas adhikari and several clerical and supervisory jobs have been filled through this route. The CET notice lists which posts are covered, the qualifying percentage for each category and the period for which a score can be used. Read those three things first, because they decide whether one CET attempt is enough or you need to sit again.
A graduate who wants to be a patwari usually goes: graduation level CET, then the patwari main exam advertised later for CET qualified candidates, then document verification. Each stage has its own form and fee, as per the notice.
RSSB result, CET result and score card
RSSB puts every result on its results page. For CET you get a score card (the rsmssb score card many people search for) showing your normalised score and whether you qualified. For main exams like patwari or VDO, the board usually releases the provisional answer key first, takes objections for a short period, then posts the result as a list of roll numbers called for document verification, followed later by the final selection list.

RPSC exams, OTR and the police route
RPSC handles the higher posts. Its best known exam is the RAS and RTS combined competitive exam with prelims, mains and interview. It also recruits school lecturers, senior teachers, assistant professors and police sub inspectors. To apply you complete one time registration (OTR) on the RPSC site through your SSO login, then use that profile for each exam. Your OTR details carry over, so get them right once.
Constable bharti is run by Rajasthan Police itself. The usual flow is a written test, then physical efficiency and measurement tests, then document and medical checks. How police exams differ across states are compared on the police bharti hub.
Teacher jobs: REET first, then recruitment
To become a government school teacher at primary or upper primary level you need to pass REET, conducted by BSER Ajmer, or the eligibility test named in the notice. Passing REET only makes you eligible. The actual selection exam for level 1 and level 2 teachers is then held by RSSB. Senior teacher and school lecturer posts are filled by RPSC. Who can apply and the SSO based form
Any Indian citizen with the required qualification can generally apply. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS, and the women's quota, is usually for bona fide residents of Rajasthan; others compete in the general category. Many posts also ask for working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari and of Rajasthani culture, as per the service rules. Age limits differ by post. - Make an SSO ID on sso.rajasthan.gov.in using Jan Aadhaar or Aadhaar details.
- Open the recruitment portal or RPSC OTR from inside SSO and fill your profile once.
- Read the full advertisement on the RSSB or RPSC site, including the CET link if it applies.
- Apply for the specific post, pay the fee and keep the application number.
- Download your admit card from the same login before the exam.
