A sarkari resume, or biodata, is a one or two page summary of your details that offices ask for at document verification, interviews, apprenticeships and contract posts, and the maker on this page helps you build one in a few minutes. Fill the short form, choose English or Hindi headings, check the A4 preview and print it or save it as a PDF. What you type stays in your own browser and is not sent to us.
Below the tool, this page explains what a government job biodata should contain, how it differs from a private company resume, when you will need it and the mistakes that make a poor impression.

How to use this sarkari resume maker
- Fill your personal details: full name as on your 10th certificate, father's or husband's name, date of birth, category, gender, nationality and mobile number.
- Add each exam you passed in the education rows, starting from 10th: board or university, year of passing, marks or percentage and the main subjects.
- Add skills: typing speed in Hindi and English, computer certificates, and any trade certificate.
- Add experience if you have any, with the name of the employer, post, and from and to dates.
- Add your permanent and correspondence address with PIN code.
- Pick English or Hindi headings, look at the preview and fix any spelling.
- Click print and choose save as PDF, or print on plain A4 paper. Sign each printed copy by hand.
Keep the PDF on your phone and a few printed copies in your document file. A lot of applicants look for a sarkari result resume maker, a sarkari result cv maker or a naukri resume maker for exactly this: a plain biodata with the details offices expect, without paying a cyber cafe each time.
What a government job biodata must include
- Personal details: name, father's name (and mother's name if the office asks), date of birth, gender, category (General, EWS, OBC, SC or ST), domicile state, marital status if required, Aadhaar last digits only if asked.
- Contact: a mobile number that will stay active for years and an email you actually check.
- Education table: one row per exam, with board, year and marks. See the sample below.
- Typing and computer: typing speed in words per minute, with language, and certificates such as CCC or O level from NIELIT, or a diploma in computer applications.
- NCC, NSS and sports: NCC B or C certificate, sports at district, state or national level. Some recruitments give bonus marks or preference for these.
- Experience: post, employer, period and nature of work. For contract jobs, mention whether it was full time.
- Address: permanent and current address with district and PIN code.
- Declaration: a line saying the details are true to the best of your knowledge, with place, date and your signature.
Sample education table
Offices like to see marks laid out in a table, not in sentences. This is the layout the maker builds:
| Exam | Board or university | Year | Marks (%) | Subjects |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10th (matric) | Your state board or CBSE | Year of passing | Percentage or CGPA | All subjects |
| 12th (intermediate) | Board name | Year | Percentage | Science, Arts or Commerce |
| Graduation | University name | Year | Percentage | BA, BSc, BCom and main subjects |
| ITI or diploma | NCVT, SCVT or state board | Year | Percentage | Trade or branch |
Copy the year and marks exactly from your marksheets. If your board gives grades or CGPA, write it as printed and do not convert it yourself unless the notice gives a formula.
Private job resume vs sarkari naukri resume
| Point | Private company resume | Government job biodata |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Sell your skills to get shortlisted | Record facts that will be matched with certificates |
| Personal details | Usually left out (no date of birth, father's name or category) | Expected: date of birth, father's name, category and domicile |
| Education | Short, latest degree first | Full table from 10th, with board, year and marks |
| Skills | Tools, projects, achievements | Typing speed, computer certificate, NCC, sports |
| Tone | Summary and career objective | Plain facts; objective line optional |
| Ending | No declaration | Declaration with place, date and signature |
| Language | English | English or Hindi, both are fine |
An SSC resume format, a bank apprentice biodata and a railway apprentice form all follow the government side of this table, and so does any sarkari exam resume asked at a later stage. If you apply to private companies too, keep a separate resume for them.
When you will need a biodata
- Document verification (DV): some offices ask for a biodata or an attestation form along with your certificates. Fill the official form if one is given; the biodata is extra support. See the document list on the sarkari naukri page.
- Interviews: for posts with an interview, a neat biodata helps the panel see your details in one look.
- Apprenticeships: ITI holders register on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in, and graduates and diploma holders on nats.education.gov.in. Railway, PSU and factory apprentice selections often ask for a biodata at joining. More on the ITI jobs page.
- Contract and outsourced posts: data entry operator, computer operator, lab assistant and similar posts in district offices are often filled by walk-in or offline application, where a biodata goes with your photocopies.
- NHM and NGO jobs: health mission contract posts and NGO projects frequently ask for a CV or biodata with the form, by post or at the interview.
- Offline forms: when a notice says apply on plain paper, a biodata in the given format is your application.
Mistakes to avoid in your sarkari job resume
- Name spelling or date of birth different from your 10th certificate. This causes the most trouble at verification.
- Marks rounded up or a percentage worked out wrongly.
- Typing speed or certificates you cannot prove. Every line may be checked.
- A fancy design, colours or two columns. Offices want a plain, readable page.
- An old mobile number or an email you never open.
- Full Aadhaar or bank numbers on a sheet that goes to many people. Give them only on official forms.
- A long career objective copied from the internet. One plain line is enough, or none.
- Forgetting to sign and date it.
Before you print, read it once aloud and compare each line with your certificates. If an office gives its own format in the notice, use that format and not this maker.

Start with personal details, then an education table from 10th with board, year and marks. Add typing speed, computer certificates, NCC or sports and experience. End with a declaration, place, date and signature.

Only if the notice or office asks for one. If you add it, use a recent passport size photo similar to the one in your application form.

A simple line works: I hereby declare that the information given above is true to the best of my knowledge and belief. Add place, date and your signature below it.
